The new funding adds to a previous seed round of $680,000 raised in March 2013, and is led by a pool of European VCs, among which new entries Wellington Partners and PROfounders Capital and previous investors, Windcrest Partners, Playfair Capital and Jacques-Antoine Granjon, (Founder of vente-privee.com).

Founded in 2012 by Zack Sabban and Jonathan Younes after a group trip to Coachella fell through, now Festicket offers a curated directory of more than 200 music festivals globally that over 300,000 festival-goers can browse. Users can then book tickets, transport and accommodation in a single-purchase, hassle-free.

The additional capital will be devoted to accelerate international expansion, grow the team and further develop the product, as Festicket’s broader goal is to open up the festival market to an even wider audience, through “inspirational features” and recommendation tools.
