“We felt an urge to break away, break out of the system.”
Uniting the worlds of art, technology and sustainability, Innovation Warehouse, in association with Culture Mile, would like to invite fellow Culture Mile Network members, friends and associates to a screening of DOWN to EARTH on Thursday 8 November.
DOWN to EARTH is the story of one family’s search for a new perspective on life. Leaving the rat race behind, Renata Heinen, Rolf Winters and their three children travel the ends of the earth for five years across six continents, seeking out tribal sages never filmed or interviewed before.
The film reveals the deep wisdom they found and its power to transform lives.
“An opportunity to do something completely different, an opportunity to find a renewed perspective on life.”
DOWN to EARTH is intended as the starting point for people-powered change, based on the wisdom of the ‘Keepers of the Earth’ – a collection of chiefs, elders, shamans, singers, earth-dancers, musicians, tribal sages and nomads – all bound by a determination to discuss how humankind has lost its way and what it needs to do to rediscover its essential nature.
In the words of the makers: “The DOWN to EARTH social enterprise is the launch of a thought; a framework to channel the voice of our audiences. This much is clear: This film is not to be consumed, it’s to be worked with! The DOWN to EARTH social enterprise provides a platform for this work.”
Please join us in the Innovation Warehouse space on Thursday 8 November for a thought-provoking evening of inspiration, consciousness expansion and networking.
